Children’s Rights Walk

RCS organized a Children’s Rights Walk on Friday, the 4th of November. Students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 participated in this walk with matchless zeal and fervor. The objective behind organizing this walk was to create awareness among children about their rights and responsibilities. Children in modern era are faced with greater risk of physical, mental and sexual abuse than before. It is high time that educational programmes in schools should educate children about the nature and consequences of child abuse to prevent them from falling victims to this heinous crime. With beautifully designed posters in their hands and the cries for child protection on their tongue, the young RCS students walked from their respective branches to the A level branch under the supervision of staff and security guards. The exercise proved to be vital in creating awareness about the rights that young children need to have to live a safe and secure life.
