Though all modern approaches towards education emphasize more on the development of skills and aptitude, the importance of the ability to retain information in memory cannot be denied. Learning facts and figures related to different subjects that children study in school is as important as acquiring the life-long skills of analysis and evaluation. Concepts in subjects like science, history and geography become more interesting when some challenge is added to the learning process. What could be a better way than involving children in some quiz competition to help them retain the acquired information and keep it fresh to recall easily. We, at RCS, organize inter-class social studies and science quiz competition to make learning of facts and figures an interesting experience.
