All civilized societies are bound to give due importance to developing aesthetic sense among all its individuals to help them appreciate beauty that sprawls around them in various colours and forms. One of the ancient ways of expressing one’s creativity and intellect was through art of painting and sculpting. It is a basic human instinct to be creative and imaginative. This unquenchable human thirst for creativity needs to be catered for in an educational programme if the objective is to produce individuals who are filled with positivism and constructivism for improving the condition in which they find their society. RCS provides ample opportunities by including sketching, painting, drawing, sculpting and other forms of fine arts in its regular and formal curriculum. The products that pupils make as part of their regular studies are displayed and sold out in an annually held art exhibition to raise funds for some social cause.
